The TJ Twinzer is what happens when two of surfing's most respected minds get their hands on the classic Thruster. Shaped by San Diego legend Stu Kenson in collaboration with pro longboarder Taylor Jensen, this board takes the familiar three fin performance template and hands it a Twinzer setup for smoother transitions, sharper turns and more speed off the bottom.

The concept traces back to Martin Potter's now iconic 1989 session at Lower Trestles, where the Twinzer configuration proved it could rival the Thruster in every department. Refined over decades of updated fin placements and subtle outline tweaks, the modern TJ Twinzer works remarkably well across a full spread of conditions, from small, messy summer surf to solid, overhead lines. It goes just as well on your backhand as it does on your forehand, and it holds a rail beautifully through committed carves.

Underneath, Firewire's Helium construction delivers the light, springy feel this shape thrives on. A stringerless 0.8 lb EPS core is paired with parabolic Paulownia and Balsa wood rails that run nose to tail, wrapped in a 3mm aerospace composite deckskin. The result is a lively, loaded up flex through turns and genuine long term durability. The deck skins even hold their memory, staying pressure resistant and looking sharp season after season.
