FAQs

Is C-Skins a good wetsuit brand?

C-Skins is a trusted wetsuit brand known for creating high-performance gear that’s especially suited to cold water conditions and made from tough and long-lasting materials. Born on the rugged coastlines of the UK, the brand has built a solid reputation for producing wetsuits thanks to its outstanding ethos combines passion, relentless creativity and a restless spirit. Their suits offer impressive warmth, flexibility, and long-lasting durability thanks to some of their epic features like Xtend neoprene, blind stitched seams and excellent multi-directional stretch.

Using innovative materials and thoughtful design, C-Skins wetsuits are made to keep surfers comfortable and protected in demanding environments. They also place a growing emphasis on sustainability, incorporating eco-friendly neoprene and reduced-impact production methods. With great value for money and a strong focus on quality, C-Skins is a solid choice for surfers of all levels.

Do C-Skins mens wetsuits come up small?

C-Skins wetsuits generally fit true to size, but some surfers find they can feel a little snug at first, especially when dry and brand new. This is normal for performance wetsuits, as they’re designed to fit closely to keep water out and maintain warmth. The neoprene also loosens slightly after a few sessions in the water.

If you're between sizes or prefer a bit more room, you might consider sizing up, particularly if you have a broader chest, shoulders, or thicker legs. For the best fit, always refer to the official C-Skins size chart and take accurate measurements of your height, chest, and waist before purchasing.

Where are C-Skins Wetsuits made?

C-Skins wetsuits are manufactured in Asia, with most of the production taking place in China. This allows the brand to benefit from large-scale manufacturing while still upholding its own strict quality and performance standards.

Although the production happens overseas, all of the design work, research and development, and product testing are handled in the UK. The brand is based in Cornwall, where it was originally founded, and that’s where the core ideas, innovations, and quality control processes continue to be driven.

Ia a 3/2mm wetsuit warm enough for winter?

A 3/2mm wetsuit is generally not warm enough for winter in most cold-water surf locations, and you want security in your suit that you are going to be warm. 3/2mm is designed for milder water temperatures, typically around 14–20°C (57–68°F), making it ideal for spring, autumn, or cooler summer sessions, not winter.

Another key feature to note when picking a wetsuit is its entry system. Some entry systems are better than others and will benefit you in different conditions. A back-zip wetsuit is perfect for easy on and off and fast changing, but it probably isn't the most efficient for warmth. A chest zip entry system is most likely a better option for winter, as it is designed to keep you super warm and snug in your wetsuit while ensuring harsh, cold seas.
